Product Description

The WeldMaster Pro TIG Welder AC/DC 200 represents the pinnacle of TIG welding technology, designed for professionals who demand exceptional performance, precision, and versatility. This advanced machine combines powerful capabilities with intuitive controls to deliver outstanding results on both aluminum and steel.

At the heart of this welder is its sophisticated inverter technology, which provides stable arc characteristics and excellent control over the welding parameters. The dual AC/DC functionality allows you to easily switch between welding aluminum (AC) and steel, stainless steel, or other ferrous metals (DC) with the touch of a button, eliminating the need for separate machines.

The digitally controlled interface offers unprecedented precision in adjusting welding parameters. The TIG Welder AC/DC 200 features fully adjustable pre-flow and post-flow gas settings, upslope and downslope timing, and a pulse function that allows for greater control over heat input and weld appearance. These advanced settings enable you to achieve clean, attractive welds with minimal heat distortion, even on thin materials.

Advanced AC Controls

When working with aluminum in AC mode, this welder offers exceptional control over the welding arc. The adjustable AC frequency allows you to narrow the arc cone for precise work or widen it for better cleaning action. The AC balance control lets you adjust the balance between penetration and cleaning action, crucial for achieving perfect welds on aluminum.

The machine also features advanced AC waveform options, including square wave, sine wave, and triangular wave, each providing different arc characteristics to suit specific applications and materials. The square wave, for instance, provides excellent cleaning action and penetration for aluminum welding.

Professional DC Performance

In DC mode, the TIG Welder AC/DC 200 delivers a smooth, stable arc that's perfect for welding stainless steel, mild steel, copper, and other non-ferrous metals. The adjustable pulse frequency allows you to control heat input precisely, making it easier to weld thin materials without burn-through or to create precise, consistent bead patterns for aesthetic welds.

Features & Benefits

Dual AC/DC Capability

The TIG Welder AC/DC 200 allows seamless switching between AC mode for aluminum and DC mode for steel, stainless steel, and other metals. This versatility eliminates the need for separate machines, saving you both money and workshop space while providing the flexibility to tackle any TIG welding project.

Intuitive Digital Control Interface

The full-color LCD display and digital control panel provide easy access to all welding parameters. The intuitive interface allows quick adjustment of settings like amperage, pulse frequency, AC balance, and waveform selection. The 10 memory slots let you save and recall your favorite settings for different materials and applications.

Advanced Pulse Technology

The adjustable pulse frequency (0.5-200 Hz) allows precise control over heat input, making it easier to weld thin materials without burn-through. Pulse welding also reduces distortion, improves bead appearance, and enables better control in out-of-position welding. This feature is particularly valuable for detailed work on automotive panels, thin-gauge fabrication, or artistic metalwork.

Comprehensive AC Controls

When welding aluminum, the adjustable AC frequency (20-200 Hz) and AC balance control (15-85%) allow you to fine-tune the arc characteristics for optimal results. Higher frequencies produce a tighter, more focused arc for precision work, while adjusting the balance lets you control the cleaning action versus penetration ratio. Multiple AC waveform options (square, sine, triangular) provide even more control over the welding process.

High-Frequency Arc Start

The non-contact high-frequency arc starting system ensures consistent arc initiation without tungsten contamination. This feature is particularly important for precision work and when welding aluminum. The machine also offers Lift-TIG and traditional scratch start options for environments where HF starting might cause interference with sensitive electronics.

Complete Timing Controls

The fully adjustable pre-flow and post-flow gas settings, along with upslope and downslope timing controls, allow you to create perfect starts and finishes for your welds. These features help prevent contamination at the beginning and end of welds, reduce crater formation, and enable seamless tie-ins for long welds or when working around complex shapes.

Multiple Amperage Control Options

Choose between panel control, torch-mounted amperage adjustment, or foot pedal control to match your welding style and position. The included professional-grade foot pedal provides smooth, precise amperage control, allowing you to modulate the heat input during welding for optimal results, especially when working on varying material thicknesses or complex joints.

After 20+ years of TIG welding with various machines, I can confidently say this TIG Welder AC/DC 200 is one of the best I've used. The arc stability is exceptional, especially on AC for aluminum. The ability to adjust the AC frequency and balance has completely changed how I approach aluminum welding - I can get exactly the cleaning action and penetration I need for different thicknesses and alloys.

The digital interface is intuitive and makes it easy to dial in precise settings. I particularly appreciate the memory function that allows me to store settings for different materials and projects. The pulse capabilities are outstanding for thin materials and controlling heat input.

The build quality seems solid, and the torch is comfortable for extended use. One small critique: the foot pedal could be heavier for better stability on the floor, but that's a minor issue. Overall, this machine has significantly improved my welding capabilities and efficiency. Absolutely worth the investment for serious fabricators.

I'm a metal artist who works primarily with stainless steel and aluminum for sculptural pieces. Upgrading to this TIG Welder AC/DC 200 has completely transformed my capabilities. The precision control over heat input with the pulse function and foot pedal allows me to create extremely fine, artistic welds that require minimal finishing.

The range of adjustability is impressive. I can go from welding 0.5mm stainless sheet to 1/4" aluminum plate with the same machine. The HF start works flawlessly, which is essential when working on visible welds where any tungsten contamination would be problematic.

The machine is quieter than expected and the cooling system seems efficient. The torch is comfortable to hold for long periods, which is important for detailed work. I particularly love the memory function - I've saved settings for my most common materials and thicknesses, which saves significant setup time.

Customer support has been excellent too. I had questions about some of the advanced features, and the technical team was knowledgeable and helpful. This welder is a significant investment, but for anyone serious about TIG welding, it's absolutely worth it.

I own a small fabrication shop specializing in custom automotive work, and this TIG Welder AC/DC 200 has quickly become our go-to machine. The versatility of being able to weld both aluminum and steel without compromising on quality has increased our productivity significantly.

The arc starts consistently every time with the HF start, and the adjustable pre-flow and post-flow settings ensure clean starts and finishes without contamination. The pulse function has been particularly useful for welding sheet metal on restoration projects, allowing us to minimize warpage.

My only small complaint, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that the manual could be more comprehensive. Some of the advanced features like the different AC waveforms could use more detailed explanations and examples of when to use each setting. I ended up finding YouTube videos to supplement the manual.

That said, once you understand all the features, this is an extremely capable machine. The build quality seems excellent so far, and it's handled continuous use in our shop environment without any issues. Definitely recommend for professional applications.
